About the Position

As a Senior Accountant on our Assurance team, you will take ownership of corporate audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion. You will work directly with clients, lead and mentor staff in the field, and serve as a key point of technical and quality control on each engagement. This is a hands-on role with genuine growth potential toward manager and partner-track opportunities.  Applicant must be in the Southern California area.

What You'll Do

• Plan and supervise the preparation of audits, reviews, and compilations
• Review staff work papers and financial statements for technical accuracy and completeness
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients throughout the engagement
• Train and mentor audit staff on proper work paper preparation and professional development
• Identify accounting and reporting issues and propose practical solutions to clients and engagement partners
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously
• Maintain approximately 1,600 chargeable hours annually

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of general public accounting experience, including at least 1 year managing assurance engagements
• CPA license (or actively pursuing California CPA licensure)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with CCH Axcess ProSystem fx (Engagement, Planning, and Document) and QuickBooks is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple engagements under deadline pressure.
• Clear, confident communication with clients and colleagues at all levels
• A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in mentoring junior staff
